Mavrix manufactures a variety of welding lathes for many idustries and applications including steel mill slab caster rolls, oil & gas drill heads, pipe hardbanding and others. From 10 ft long to 32 ft long we can custom design a machine that will meet your needs. We can also manufacture welding systems to mate with your existing lathe and have builg machine up to 64 feet long with two welding heads and cable managment.

Welded Tubular Steel Frame
Hand built to the customer requirements and finished with a durable industrial coating.
Pneumatic Tailstock
The main beam angle can be adjusted to allow the torch to follow the required profile.
Wire Feeder
The Mavrix PA-10 4 roll wire feeder and wire reel are mounted on the motorized carriage assembly.
Precision Speed Roll Rotation Headstock
A precision low backlash motor-gearbox provides chuck rotation and indexing and is controlled by the Mavrix PLC based control. Includes a trip switch and rotary ground.
X/Y Automated Carriage System
Two 90 VDC gearmotors provide X/Y motion of the carriage and weld arm. Capable of circumferentail and linear weld motion with precision indexing.

Heavy Duty Travel Beam
A 2”x 3” structural steel zinc plated beam with integrated bearing rails and gear rack.
Wire Feeder
The Mavrix PA-10 4 roll wire feeder is mounted on the motorized carriage assembly.
Indexing Roll Rotation Headstock
A programable headstock allows the index angle and total number of degrees to control the stop cycle. Includes a trip switch and rotary ground.
Parrallel Torch Oscillation
A mechanically adjustable oscillator with potentiometer frequency control oscillates the torch parrallel the weld arm.

Slab Caster Journal Weld Lathe

Rolling Headstocks
Twin rolling headstocks allow for adjustment of roll lengths and contains a ground shoe and integrated trip switch.
Common Center Tailstock Module
A common tailstock module with idler chucks and ground.
Dual Weld Carriages
Twin idependant welding carraiges with X/Z travel motion. Capable of circumferental and vertical step welding.
Dual Idependant Controls
With pendants these controls allow digital rotation speed control and precision step distance control.
PA-10 Wire Feed
Two 90 VDC gearmotor driven 4 roll wire feeders provide positive wire feed of all tubular wires.

Vers‐O‐Weld Series 45‐12 Head Sub ARC Lathe

The VOW45 12-Head Sub ARC Lathe was manufactured using our standard VOW 45 open carriage design and many other common core Mavris Welding components. Designed to allo preheat within the machine and provide the operator individual control for each weld head.
