Steel Mill Rolls

Mavrix has made systems for steel mill slab caster rolls and chocks using the standard components from our Vers-O-Weld products. In most cases the customer has the turning rolls or a weld lathe that they use to hold and turn the roll. Also, they will generally have the appropriate ovens for pre-heat and stress relieving after the welding process. Our equipment is also used for welding of the roll chock ID and outside surfaces. The following are samples of previous work.
