Providing Factory Direct ESAB/Stoody Welding Wire

WIRE

FLUX CORED WIRE

Mavrix is now an authorized distributor of Stoody® wire products. We have worked closely with Stoody to select the best wire in the industry to match our machine applications to offer our customers a complete solution. View the available products by application or click the Stoody® logo below to continue to their site.

In nearly all of our applications,  we recommend a single wire solution to minimize the number of products our customer needs to stock (lowering your costs) and eliminate the concern of residual hard facing from the previous build-up. With a single wire, there is never a need to remove the previous hard surface before building up.

CAR SHREDDER DISC - Stoody® 110MC

Stoody® 110MC is a modified high chromium high manganese steel used in the rebuilding of manganese steel parts subject to severe impact loading. This is a single-wire solution for building up and hard-facing the rotors. By using a single wire for maintaining your discs there is no need to stock two different products and there is no concern or need to remove any hardfacing left from the previous job before building up again. A wire with high welder appeal and very low slag allows it to be built up in multiple layers without concern of trapping slag and having layer failures. The wire goes down soft HRC 17 and will work harden to HRC55.

Available in 7/64 Dia. 60# coils for machine application. 110-O in 1/16 is an open arc wire for the hammer swing areas and build-up on the side of the shredder disc. No worry about compatibility!

ROCK CRUSHING - Stoody® 110-O

Stoody® 110-O is also a modified high chromium high manganese steel widely used in the rebuilding of manganese steel parts subject to severe impact loading. This material offers excellent cavitation resistance; good toughness and wear resistance; can be used as the final hard-facing layer in extreme impact applications. The wire goes down soft HRC 17 and will work harden to HRC55 a great single-wire solution for building up and providing the final hard-faced layer.

Available in 7/64 Dia. in 60# coils, 110# QP and 200# HP

PULVERIZER APPLICATIONS Stoody® - CP2000

Stoody® CP2000 is a specially formulated chromium carbide alloy designed to produce a high concentration of uniformly distributed small primary chromium carbides in an austenitic matrix. The formulation has been optimized to result in superior weldability for a broad range of single and multiple-layer applications. The high concentration of small primary carbides greatly improves wear resistance and toughness over conventional chromium carbide alloys. It can be applied to carbon, low alloy, and manganese steels. In special applications such as coal pulverizer rebuilding, it can be applied to cast irons. The deposits can not be machined or forged and can be used in hot wear applications up to 900F

Available in 7/64 Dia. in 60# coils & 200# HP

ID PIPE HARD SURFACING - Stoody® CP2000

Stoody® CP2000; See description above.

DREDGE PUMP SHELLS - Stoody® 117

Stoody® 117 deposit consists of uniformly dispersed chromium carbides in a semi-austenitic matrix that provides a deposit with good impact, abrasion, and anti-galling properties. It develops a light crosschecking pattern which allows this material to be applied in multiple layers without difficulty. It is frequently used as both a build-up and hard-facing alloy on carbon, low alloy, and manganese steels. Weldability is very good and deposits are not machinable.

Available in 7/64 Dia. in 60# Coils & 200# HP

WEAR PLATE - Stoody® 965-G

Stoody® 965-G deposit is a general-purpose hard-facing alloy that offers a good balance of impact and abrasion resistance. It can be used in both metal-to-metal and metal-to-earth applications. Deposits are martensitic and forgeable but not readily machinable. It can be applied to carbon, low alloy, and manganese steels. It is magnetic on carbon and low alloy steels. Analysis and properties are similar to Stoody Self Hardening covered electrode.

Available in 1/16 Dia. in 50# PP, 200# HP & 400# NTD
